Belfast Whiskey Week

Where Belfast’s whiskey story comes to life – nine days of drams, food, music and good company in the city that helped shape Irish whiskey.

It’s now Ireland’s largest whiskey festival, with 100+ events right across the city’s bars, distilleries and venues, bringing together dozens of brands, local hospitality heroes and visitors from near and far.

At its heart, Belfast Whiskey Week is about connection – between distillers and drinkers, chefs and bartenders, visitors and the city itself. The programme runs from expert‑led tastings, food pairings and cocktail takeovers to distillery days, heritage walking tours, sensory dinners, live music and the flagship Whiskey Expo, all designed to feel as welcoming for the whiskey‑curious as for seasoned collectors.

The festival leans into Belfast’s grain‑to‑glass heritage and its new wave of makers, telling the stories behind the spirits as well as pouring them. Each year it shines a spotlight on the city’s bars, restaurants and producers who champion Irish whiskey on their menus, and creates the kind of shared experiences – long tables, great pours, good conversation – that keep people coming back to Belfast.
