Local Partnerships Brewing Success
Pan and Pour Meets Boundary Brewery
When Belfast Flavours brings members together, brilliant things happen. This World Tourism Day, we celebrated a perfect example of how local collaboration creates something truly special—and sustainable—for both visitors and our community.
Introducing "Encore"
We facilitated a meeting between Pan and Pour and Boundary Brewery that led to something exciting: an exclusive IPA brewed specifically for ICC Belfast. The beer, christened "Encore" by the ICC team themselves, shows what's possible when local businesses work together to offer visitors a genuine taste of Belfast.
Andrew Dougan, Co-Chair of Belfast Flavours and the driving force behind Pan and Pour and Yellow Door, puts it perfectly: "I'm a firm believer in the circular economy and sustainability is in our DNA. This exciting opportunity underpins our relationship with ICC and their belief in us as a local business to serve their international audiences on the global stage."
More Than Just a Beer
Brewed less than a mile from the ICC, Encore represents something bigger than a great drink. It's about breaking free from globalised supply chains and giving international delegates a real flavour of Belfast—made by Belfast people with local creativity and pride.
"For me, sustainability isn't a slogan. It's a responsibility," Andrew explains. "I'm committed to buying the best locally and reinvesting locally. I don't think business should be about sucking the profits out of Northern Ireland but about keeping the value here."
