Bodega Bagels has grown from a home‑baking experiment into one of Belfast’s most recognisable names for New York–style bagels, with a footprint that spans the city centre and East Belfast food‑hall culture. Founded by Steven and Kirsty Orr after lockdown experiments and time spent learning from Brooklyn bagel makers, Bodega focuses on authenticity: every bagel is hand‑rolled, boiled and baked fresh each day to achieve that classic glossy crust and chewy crumb. Their menus pair in‑house cream cheeses, schmears and seasonings with Northern Irish produce – think bacon and egg breakfast bagels, salmon and pickles, pulled chicken with avocado, plus cookies and bakes – making Bodega a bridge between New York technique and Belfast flavour, and a staple of the city’s independent breakfast and brunch scene.
