Belfast has always been at the heart of McConnell’s Irish Whisky. First crafted in 1776, it quickly became one of the city’s most celebrated exports, admired far beyond these shores. Today, Belfast Distillery Company proudly brings Irish whisky distilling back to Belfast – right where it belongs – in the beautifully restored A‑Wing of Crumlin Road Gaol.
Made with care, character and over two centuries of expertise, their whiskies are a blend of select malt and grain spirits matured in ex‑bourbon barrels, creating a subtle sweetness with notes of oak and spice. With more than 40 international awards to date, McConnell’s continues its mission to honour the city’s distilling heritage while crafting exceptional whiskies for enthusiasts and newcomers alike.
